Juan is Senior Director, Early Innovation Partnering at Johnson & Johnson Innovation, based out of California Innovation Center in San Francisco. In this role, he focuses on pharmaceutical innovation in support of the neuroscience and discovery and product development & supply businesses. His charge is to identify, design, and negotiate licensing, collaboration, and investment opportunities highly aligned with Johnson & Johnson business strategies by building relationships with entrepreneurs, venture investors, and key opinion leaders. Previously, Juan was Investor and Board Observer at Action Potential Venture Capital where he led sourcing, research, and due diligence in bioelectronic therapeutic technologies. Juan has also held various roles in venture capital and management consulting, as well as key operational roles including Business Development Manager at Ultragenyx Pharmaceuticals. Juan is a proud mentor to underrepresented students and professionals in STEM-related fields and is a board member of the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley.
