Joyance Partners Bikes for a Cause
On July 19th, three of our adventurous and dedicated partners dropped their laptops, put their calendars on hold, and hopped on their bikes to help raise money for charity.
Joyance Partners was proud to be a main sponsor of this year’s 2019 Paris to London TechBikers ride. Starting in Paris, Managing Director Paolo Pio, Principal Neha Tanna, and Investment Partner Holly Jacobus joined a mix of European entrepreneurs and investors with a passion for fitness, community, and helping others on a journey through 320 kilometers of French and British countryside. The ride ended in London, where the cyclists convened for a well-deserved celebration.
Founded in 2012, Techbikers is a way for the tech community to support good causes, network, and share ideas. All proceeds from the event will go to Room to Read, an international nonprofit working with local communities, partner organizations, and governments to develop literacy skills among low-income primary school children.
Since its inception, Room To Read has built 9 schools and 37 libraries. They’ve provided hundreds of scholarships and 5,000 books in local languages, impacting over 45,000 children in Nepal, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Tanzania, and South Africa.
”We’re thrilled to sponsor the TechBikers Ride,” said Pio. “We’re honored to support an organization that unites the tech and startup communities in such an innovative and creative way, and supports such a fantastic cause.”
